Back to Oralytix Terms of Use

The terms for using Oralytix

What a practice agrees to by using the product — acceptable use, account responsibility, and how AI findings relate to clinical responsibility.

Template notice

These terms are written for a pre-pilot product and describe intended practice, not a finished legal document. Before onboarding real practices, this should be reviewed and finalized by qualified legal counsel.

1. Acceptance of terms

Using Oralytix means agreeing to these terms

By creating a practice account or using Oralytix in any capacity, a practice and its authorized users agree to these Terms of Use and to the Privacy Policy. If a practice does not agree, it should not use the product.

2. Who can use Oralytix

Licensed dental practices and their staff

Oralytix is built for licensed dental practices, DSOs, and the staff they authorize — dentists, hygienists, and administrative team members acting within their practice's account. It is not intended for use directly by patients, and it is not a consumer diagnostic product.

3. Account & access

The practice controls who has access

A practice administrator is responsible for managing which staff members have access to the account and for keeping login credentials secure. Oralytix should be notified promptly if access needs to be revoked — for example, when a staff member leaves the practice.

4. Acceptable use

What the product is, and isn't, for

  • Uploaded images should be radiographs and intraoral photographs taken in the course of legitimate dental care.
  • Accounts may not be used to attempt to reverse-engineer, extract, or resell the underlying AI models.
  • Findings generated by Oralytix may not be presented to a patient as a diagnosis without a dentist's review and confirmation — this is a structural requirement of the product, not just a policy.
5. Intellectual property

The product is licensed, not sold

Oralytix retains all rights to the product, its underlying models, and its software. A practice retains ownership of the imaging data and patient records it uploads. Using the product grants a practice the right to use it for its own clinical workflow — not a license to the technology itself.

6. AI findings & clinical responsibility

The dentist remains clinically responsible

Every finding Oralytix produces is a candidate for review, not a diagnosis, and the product is structurally built so that no finding reaches a patient record without a dentist's explicit confirm, dismiss, or modify decision. Clinical responsibility for diagnosis and treatment remains with the treating dentist at all times — this is described in more detail on the Trust & Review page.

7. Service availability

Built for uptime, without a guarantee yet

As a pre-pilot product, Oralytix does not yet publish a formal service-level agreement. Inference latency and system health are monitored continuously through Amazon CloudWatch, and uptime commitments will be formalized as part of the pilot agreement with early practices.

8. Limitation of liability

Oralytix assists; it does not replace clinical judgment

Oralytix is a review-assistance tool, not a substitute for professional clinical judgment. To the extent permitted by law, Oralytix is not liable for clinical decisions made using the product — those decisions, and their consequences, remain the responsibility of the treating dentist.

9. Governing law

Nigerian law, as a starting point

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, where Oralytix Technologies Ltd. is registered. As the product expands into other markets, jurisdiction-specific terms will be added where required.

10. Changes & contact

We'll notify practices of material changes

Material changes to these terms will be communicated directly to practice administrators. Questions go to hello@oralytix.ai or the contact page.
